THE DETAILS
I was born in Arizona and raised in southern California, today I call Oceanside home with my beautiful wife and daughter. When I am not working I enjoy enjoy being outdoors playing golf, riding bicycles, snowboarding, chasing the little one, eating, and drinking any micro-brew put in front of me.
Professionally I have had the opportunity to work for multiple clients, ranging from sporting good manufacturers to medical device companies. I attended the art institute of San Diego where I learned the basics of design, typography, and photography. While attending school I interned for a photographer in San Diego that led to my first job at a product photography studio. I worked as a photography assistant at the studio learning about lighting, shooting, and producing photo shoots, as well as image processing and file management.
I got my start in design with a small Interactive agency where I spent time working under two extremely talented art directors. I learned the value of a great team where I spent time as a Jr. designer and asset manager. While working as a member of the design team a key portion of my role was working with the project management team, and developers to seamlessly hand off design assets. I worked on various projects ranging from apps to trade show booth visuals
Soon after I also took some time to work freelance, which allowed me to do some humanitarian work while also providing an opportunity to see some very amazing places around the world. Don’t worry I managed to snap a few pictures along the way. After some travel, I ended up taking long term contract as a Senior Designer for a creative shop that serviced a global footwear company specializing in photography, retouching, catalog production, and DTC print marketing.
More recently I have worked for a sporting goods manufacturer as a Senior Designer where I oversaw a small team of designers. My role was rooted in design, art directing, producing product photography, branding athlete photography, and working day to day with our internal sales force, brand teams, major publications as well as national sales accounts.
The last 6+ years I have been working for adidas as a senior brand designer. I am currently working out of Carlsbad with a focus on golf. A sincere thank you if you read this far.
